A fit when…
- Your newsletter does not need built-in selling tools.
- You prefer a dedicated publishing workflow.
- Your usage fits a lower MailCheap sending tier.
MailerLite has marketing automations and selling tools alongside newsletters. MailCheap is a more focused option when sending and publishing are your priority.
Research review: 26 October 2026 · By Yusuf Muritala · Desk research, not a hands-on test.
Choose MailerLite when forms, automations or digital products are a meaningful part of your operation. Consider MailCheap when you want its focused workflow and your sending pattern makes the price attractive. AI connectivity alone does not settle this comparison: both offer MCP.
Our view: compare limits as well as capabilities. A frequent sender can reach a sending allowance long before outgrowing a contact tier. Model a busy month, including extra announcements, before committing to a plan. Then check whether consolidating products, forms and automations in one platform saves enough work to justify its cost.

Estimate MailCheap costs using your actual bill ↗Back up your subscriber data and record groups, fields and automation logic. Review how those fields map in the new tool. Products, bookings, landing pages and behavioural workflows need their own plan; a CSV should not be treated as a complete account migration.
Keep your original export. Test subscriber fields, suppression status, sender identity and signup links before your first campaign. Run a small validation send and allow time for the new provider’s onboarding process. Do not cancel your existing service until the replacement works.
Yes. Its current pricing page lists MCP, including on Free. MailCheap should not be presented as the only AI-connected option.
The documented free allowance is 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails per month. Check that both limits cover your intended schedule.
